Bio: After finishing college, Lilia Ford put her skills to excellent use as a paralegal and a cashier before going back to school for her Ph.D. in English.  Speeding through the program in a mere ten years, she next taught English and writing as an adjunct before deciding that she did actually prefer sanity after all.  Nowadays, she’s mostly a writer when she’s not a basketball coach, math tutor, subway chaperone, and nutritionist for her two sons.  She’s also seriously into music, mostly 80s New Wave and Alternative, which never seems to impress her kids as much as she thinks it should. She and her family live in New York City.
