You had to live through it to truly understand how difficult it was to find good music as a teenager during the 1980s: the nearest decent record store was an hour's drive away, and my local radio stations were dominated by classic rock, hair bands, and Huey Lewis. So here is a list of some favorite 80s tracks and bands that I only discovered decades later, post-internet.
